So I have a little booth with 20" monitor (with one VGA input) and wanted to connect both my Mac Mini and XBox. Up until recently, the solution was a laborious unplug one clunky VGA cable and plug in the other (unscrew the securing toggles, wiggle out, try and line up the other cable in a tight space with no visual, then tighten the toggles again). This gizmo works great: plug both sources in the box and a 3rd cable out to the monitor. Done. Then it's a simple press to select the other monitor. So, it takes maybe 3-4 sec to switch over, but it's not like I don't have the time.Only point to mention is that 3 VGA cable connectors pointing straight out the back of the box make the whole unit 50% deeper than the picture (i.e.: no cables). So it's not gonna be all flush with the back of your desktop, but if that's not a problem, or you can tuck it out of sight, it's a non-issue.Bear in mind, it's VGA, so you're limited to that quality. Does the pic seem poorer than without the box? Not to my eyes. And the XBox doesn't seem to suffer, either. No noticeable increase in lag.Until you can upgrade to HDMI, it's a cheap, easy fix that really makes a big difference vs. the alternative.
