aww it's so cute it's a FPS on the DS with ps1 era graphics, adorableI recently got rid of all by big consoles because I'm preparing to move, but being the gamer that I am, I had to get me a portable gaming system to have fun with until I get on my feet. I chose to get a Nintendo 3DS, and I don't regret it one bit. Though this review is for a DS game, it is fully compatible with the 3DS.I was actually pleasantly surprised with this game, especially for it being the first real shooter I've ever played for a portable system. For the last few years I've played a great number of shooters including pretty much all of the Call of Duty and Battlefield games, so you'd think I'd be a bit jaded by all of that, but being a true gamer, I know that it's not just graphics that make a good game. While this game isn't great, it is very good, and it actually plays pretty much like it's console counterpart. If you took Call of Duty for the XBOX 360 or PS3 and stripped away the pretty graphics, this is what you would get. The guns are all the same, and they handle just like they do on the console, with the exception of vibration through the controller of course, but that's no biggie. The controls are very easy to get used to, and I've gotten used to them pretty fast. There's not much as far as a plot goes for this game, but that's also no big deal. The story here is simply that Russia has attacked the U.S., and you're fighting back. Cinematic scenes between missions and all that good stuff, just straight up gameplay which is fine with me. Between missions, you will read a briefing that updates you to what's going on in the little bit of story that does exist, and then you're right into the action. You always have a couple of A.I. partners with you, and like the console versions, they're pretty much useless. Every once in a while they'll accidentally. The game mechanics are the same as the console. You move area to area, building to building, and gun down enemies. Sweet and simple. The multiplayer supports 6 people, which is cool for a portable system, and you are able to customize your weapon loadout and use perks.Overall, I give this game 4 stars, because while it's not the best game for my portable system, it's exactly how I expected it to be and I'm having fun with it.Good fps for DSlove the gameMy boyfriend has this game for his PS3 and the Nintendo DS version doesn't compare to it. The online multiplayer is confusing, and nobody plays online. I played the campaign for the most part because it wouldn't let me play online since there was nobody else playing online. My 9 year-old son just had to have this game for his ds. He said "it will change my life". He played it a few times, but has not touched it since. On the other hand, he played this game on his brother's ps3 a million times.I used it on my 2ds very fun and entertaininggot this as a gift and really like it a lot. like all the call of duty games.thank you very much.My son was very excited to get this game , I haven't heard a complaint ..and with kids that's a big thing usually with in a few days they complain that its boring ..not with this one! Awesome!Love itOrdered this for my friend, he loves it. Shipped fast l.it was a good game but I was disappointed to find out that the multiplier feature didn't work.Très bien
