I'm a huge fan of Disney and I really love the songs from Disney movies, that's the reason I got this. I completely agree about the song list though. A lot of the songs on here have a bunch of talking in their songs. I do like those songs though but it's weird to put so many of those types of songs in a karaoke game. Some of my favorite songs from classic Disney movies weren't even included, such as Part of Your World (Little Mermaid) and Beauty and The Beast. They do have Under the Sea (Little Mermaid) and Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast) and although I do like those songs, I think those movies that have good soundtracks and they only get one song is weird. I love A Whole New World (Aladdin) and Reflection (Mulan) so I was happy for those songs.Cinderella has 4 songs. Luckily at least I knew these songs. I didn't realize Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo and The Work Song were so hard to 'sing' though. I like the Jungle Book songs (2). The Lion King has 3 songs and I like those. I also hadn't watched The Princess and the Frog until recently but after I did I really enjoyed the 2 songs included (Though my favorite song from the movie is Never Knew I Needed but I guess that one doesn't count). I also liked the 2 Sleeping Beauty songs and the 3 Toy Story songs. The only things you really unlock are things like the "Themes" such as The Princess and The Frog theme, The Little Mermaid theme, the Lion King theme etc., which changes the icons and backgrounds, things like that. Also you can unlock "characters" but they are just characters you can use for your, I guess, profile picture/icon. If you go to Awards you can see what you have to do to pass the different goals.Really this game is probably more fun for young kids. Of course you would think that since it's a Disney game. I still feel like they could have added more to it.I give it 4 stars just for the fact that I like Disney songs. Maybe they purposely didn't add all the classic songs because they plan on making more of these and they don't want to add all the good ones at once. Of course that's just what came in my mind because if they really just didn't add those songs then I feel that's stupid. Then again, guess they are trying to get the interest of all with the old songs and the new songs. Just don't feel like 30 is all that many songs.I bought this because I love Disney, Disney tunes and I love singing. I sent it back. Why? The song selection isn't good. For example, it had three songs from Cars and Toy Story, but only one from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins? Those four movies alone have great soundtracks with a lot of fun songs to sing, yet they only had one song each? I had no desire to sing songs from Cars or Toy Story and having not seen the Princess and the Frog, I have no idea what those songs were. They did do justice to Cinderella and The Jungle Book, but those were about the only one. Okay, I enjoyed Winnie the Pooh. They didn't even include the theme song from Beauty and the Beast (the song included is Be Our Guest, which is mostly a "speaking" song). The nice thing was there was no unlocking levels and the songs were straight out of the movies. That means, there was a lot of talking in the songs, which I didn't like either. I would have preferred to choose soundtrack or movie to sing with. In other words, I'd rather sing with Elton John, then the movie version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."The vocal exercises were extremely easy for an adult, but I suspect they might be useful to a young child, say around 5 years old. The mic was very nice (USB) and very durable with the Disney logo.If you are buying this for a young child, make sure he/she knows a lot of the newer stuff (Cars, Toy Story, Princess and the Frog, etc.) and doesn't really care about the oldies. I would not recommend this for adults.Song choice could be better. I was shocked that "A part of your world" is left out. Other than that the game is great. You have an opportunity to earn stars and points and its not overly critical so my four year old saw improvement when she tried the song again. Which she loved. You can also play the song back that was just performed and listen to yourself sing. They have buttons to change the voice to a mouse, lion, or robot (not that exciting) . Overall there are 30 songs and plenty of movies to choose from so we are happy.Games nice but it doesnt have alot of the good songs on it... the classics. Not to fond of the toy story, cars, and the newer movie songs. My kids don't really know the songs either. The game play is good over all. Good pick for kids and adults to enjoy time together. Just don't have the greatest song picks. Noticed that most microphone games are like that though: including rock band and guitar hero. By the way the playstation 2 and 3 microphone will also work on the wii. Its just a standard usb port connect... same as a computer or tv.Like most other reviews I've read, this game is missing a lot of classics that the young at heart would enjoy. My three year old niece, however, loves it. She enjoys singing the songs as much as watching the videos. She's more willing to learn the new songs that I am. We had some issues with using other microphones when doing duets. We got some feedback or the microphone wouldn't register the singing.Either way, it's a fun game, but not a lot of songs I really knew well. I ended up giving it to my niece to keep because she enjoyed it so much and would play it more than I would.I decided to purchase this item. I just received it. I've had nothing but fun for the past couple hours. It was indeed a wise choice purchasing this. My only complaint is there should be more songs. It's def. fun for the whole family. Nice option is a vocal coach. Im definitely no Connie Francis but I do have fun singing along to some of disney's classic songs.Despite being aware I was getting a used product-the condition was not very impressive. The disc had fingerprints on it and the microphone cord was knotted and tangled. At least clean it up before sending it out. Fortunately it all worked at least.
